1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, storage, disclosure, and protection of personal data by MELLS ("MELLS," "the Company," "We," "Us," or "Our") in connection with the website www.mells.ae, any associated booking channels, and communications conducted via telephone, WhatsApp, email, or in person (collectively, the "Service").
MELLS is a home care and technical services provider registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, offering deep cleaning, air conditioning care, technical and MEP services, painting, marble and tile restoration, and fit out and renovation services to villas, apartments, and offices.
This Policy is drafted in accordance with UAE Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021 Regarding the Protection of Personal Data ("PDPL"), its Executive Regulations, and other applicable UAE federal and local legislation. By accessing the Service or engaging MELLS for any service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consented to the practices described herein.
For the purposes of the PDPL, MELLS acts as the Data Controller in respect of personal data collected through the Service.

MELLS does not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, including data concerning health, religion, or biometric identifiers, save where strictly necessary for the performance of a specific service and only upon obtaining your explicit, separate consent.
3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing
MELLS processes personal data for the following purposes, each grounded in a lawful basis recognised under the PDPL:

6. Data Retention
Personal data is retained only for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by applicable law, including:
Financial and invoicing records: seven (7) years, in accordance with UAE tax and commercial record-keeping requirements
Client account and contact data: five (5) years from the date of last engagement
Service history records: five (5) years from the date of last engagement
Marketing data: two (2) years, unless consent is renewed
Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised.
7. Data Security
MELLS implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including restricted system access, secure server infrastructure, and encrypted payment processing. Notwithstanding these measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is entirely secure, and MELLS cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted via the internet.
8. Your Rights
In accordance with the PDPL, you are entitled to:
(a) request access to the personal data MELLS holds concerning you; (b) request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data; (c) request erasure of your personal data, subject to MELLS's legal retention obligations; (d) object to or request restriction of processing, including for marketing purposes; (e) withdraw previously granted consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

9. Minors
The Service is not directed at, and MELLS does not knowingly collect personal data from, individuals under the age of eighteen (18) years.
10. Amendments to This Policy
MELLS reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at its sole discretion. Material amendments will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service following such amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
