About this service
A hollow sounding tile, a lifting board, a lipped edge. All of them are decisions made before the material was laid.
Floors fail from underneath. A substrate that was not levelled leaves voids under tiles that crack the first time weight lands on them. Adhesive spread inconsistently gives you the hollow sound you can hear walking across a room. Wood laid without an expansion gap buckles when the AC goes off and humidity rises, which in Dubai it does the moment a door is left open. Screed with residual moisture destroys engineered wood and lifts vinyl. None of this shows on the day it is laid, and all of it is preventable in the preparation stage that a low quote deletes.
We prepare properly. Substrate surveyed, moisture tested, levelled and primed before anything is laid. Setting out is planned so cuts land where they are least visible and pattern runs true to the room rather than to the wall that happened to be closest. Expansion allowances, movement joints and thresholds are detailed correctly, and everything is protected until the rest of the works are complete. Then it is cleaned, sealed where the material requires it, and handed over.
