What lighting installation involves
Buy good fittings, pair them with the wrong driver, and you have bought a room that flickers on camera and hums at half brightness.
Three quarters of the lighting complaints we are called to have nothing to do with the fixture. They are a mismatch between the lamp, the driver and the dimmer, and they present as flicker, buzz, a limited dimming range, or lights that glow faintly when switched off.
Trailing edge dimmers suit most modern LED drivers; leading edge dimmers, which is what a lot of Dubai apartments were built with, do not. A dimmer rated for three hundred watts of halogen will not reliably control forty watts of LED, because the minimum load is never met.
Colour temperature is the other half. A villa lit at 6000K reads as an office. Most residential interiors want 2700K to 3000K, kitchens and bathrooms can carry 3500K, and mixing temperatures within one sightline is the single most common reason a room looks wrong for reasons the owner cannot name.
Outdoors, the constraint is different: heat, humidity and irrigation. A garden fitting rated IP65 and installed with the gland facing upward will fill with water inside a season. Placement and detailing matter more than the specification sheet.

Why do my LED lights flicker when dimmed?
Almost always a dimmer mismatch. Leading edge dimmers left over from halogen do not control most LED drivers, and the minimum load is rarely met. Changing the dimmer usually solves it outright.
What colour temperature should I use in a villa?
2700K to 3000K for living areas and bedrooms, up to 3500K in kitchens and bathrooms. The important rule is not to mix temperatures within one sightline.
Can you install a chandelier in a double height space?
Yes. Access equipment, a structural fixing check and a winch where the fitting needs to be lowered for cleaning are all part of the quote.
Will you patch the ceiling afterwards?
Yes. Plastering and painting sit inside our own service lines, so you are not left with a cut ceiling and a second contractor to find.
Can you add lighting without rewiring the whole room?
Often, if the existing circuit has the capacity and is in good condition. We test it before committing rather than assuming.
