About this service
What is post construction / post renovation cleaning and what does it include?
Weeks after the contractor leaves, you are still finding it. That is not bad luck, it is physics.
Construction dust is far finer than household dust, which means it stays airborne for hours, travels through the whole property, and settles into every gap it finds. Inside cabinets, behind skirting, on top of doors, into the AC return and along the ducts. A builder's clean removes debris and makes the space usable. It does not remove the fine particulate, which is the part that keeps reappearing on your surfaces and, more importantly, the part your family is breathing for months afterward.
We clean post construction properties in stages, from the highest surface down, using HEPA filtered vacuums so the dust is captured rather than redistributed. Paint spots, adhesive residue, grout haze and protective film are removed by surface type. We strongly recommend a full AC duct clean at the same time, because a system that ran during the works has drawn that dust into the ductwork and will keep pushing it back out until it is cleaned.
